4th Annual Institute for Education/PIF West Coast reunion-MORE COMPOUNDED AWESOMENESS

On January 7, 2018 the Institute for Education’s held it’s 5th annual west coast Innovation Brunch at the home of PIF John Trobough. IFE was honored to be joined by H.E. Casper Klynge, Tech Ambassador to Denmark; former U.S. CTO Todd Park; Obama’s Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Michelle Lee; and the U.S.’s first Chief Data Scientist DJ Patil. IFE leadership attending the event included Presidential Innovation Fellows Co-Founder John Paul Farmer, IFE Digital Ambassador Devika Patil, IFE Innovation Steward Amy Geng, and IFE supporter and Presidential Innovation Fellow Scott Wu.

John Trobough welcomed everyone with a brief explanation of the diverse group assembled including leading public servants, investors, innovators, scholars, and technologists from the prestigious Presidential Innovation Fellows and 18F, and Defense Innovation programs. Todd Park then thanked everyone as “similarly-hearted” Americans who love their country and are working to make sure we succeed as a nation going forward. Ambassador Klynge concluded the event remarks by discussing the importance of relationship building across sectors and nations. Guests continued to enjoy champagne and gourmet cuisine late into the afternoon!
