White House Officials, Legal Entrepreneurs Dominate 30 Under 30 Law And Policy List

By Daniel Fisher, Emily Canal and Avik Roy

Top Obama administration officials, including the President’s senior advisor for Internet policy, the nation’s youngest state legislator, and the chief data officer for the Republican Party are among the young stars who populate this year’s Forbes 30 Under 30 Law and Policy list.

It would be hard to top the resume of R. David Edelman in several lifetimes, let alone before the age of 30. The Yale history major earned a master’s and Ph.D. in international relations at Oxford before joining the State Department as a policy advisor in the Office of Cyber Affairs, then advancing to become the youngest-ever director at the National Security Council, where he was in charge of international cyber policy. Now he’s charting White House policy for Internet governance, intellectual property, online privacy, and other Internet affairs.
