On Thursday, September 17th IFE hosted a live salon Looking Back + Moving Forward: DIU accelerates technology into the United States military.
Our featured speaker was Mike Brown, Director of the Defense Innovation Unit at the U.S. Department of Defense, who shared an update on DIU’s accomplishments as it celebrates its 5th anniversary including new trends in commercial technologies and national security challenges. Joshua Marcuse, Head of Strategy and Innovation for Global Public Sector at Google Cloud, moderated the conversation.
Dr. R. David Edelman, IFE Board of Stewards, announced IFE’s Artificial Intelligence initiative and that H.E. Stavros Lambrinidis, Ambassador of the European Union, will be IFE’s Diplomatic Steward for AI. The salon concluded with a robust Q&A session moderated by IFE Innovation Steward Amy Geng, MD.
