Thank you to all who attended and all who were invited to the Institute for Education’s newest program, “The Future of AI”. Stavros Lambrinidis, who serves as Ambassador of the European Union to the United States as well as the Institute for Education’s Diplomatic Steward of Artificial Intelligence, hosted an in-person dinner at his residence, together with Coach Kathy Kemper, CEO and Founder of the Institute for Education, and Dr. R. David Edelman, MIT Scholar and IFE Future of AI Roundtable founder.
The candid, lively, off-the-record dinner discussed the role of artificial intelligence in the new U.S. foreign policy and the future of the transatlantic relationship. A wide-ranging conversation covered how well-targeted regulation could accelerate AI innovation, practical challenges and need for greater explainability, and the geopolitical opportunities created by emerging AI systems that work using smaller datasets.
The evening ended on the terrace with Kentucky’s finest bourbon, where guests expressed their excitement at a return to in-person events and toasted soft diplomacy at its best.
