Future of AI Dinner: Artificial Intelligence in Smartening Up Cities

The Institute for Education will co-host a Future of AI dinner with IFE Diplomatic Steward for AI, H.E. Stavros Lambrinidis (EU Ambassador to the U.S.), and the program’s founder Dr. R. David Edelman. The dinner will be held at the Ambassador’s residence with Coach Kathy Kemper. Special guests include the former Chief Technology Officer of the City of New York, John Paul Farmer, and Head of Innovation of the City of Vienna, Robin Heilig. The discussion will be “Artificial Intelligence in Smartening Up Cities.”

Third, in a series of events hosted by Ambassador Lambrinidis, IFE Diplomatic Steward for Artificial Intelligence, this event will discuss experiences, opportunities, and potential pitfalls in the development and deployment of AI technologies in the city environment. What can cities as laboratories of innovation do to maximize their benefits, what does it mean in terms of talent, ecosystem, data, and applications? How to reduce risks and build trust with citizens, consumers, and businesses?
